The students’ organisation demanded more seats, and deprivation points for students from deprived backgrounds. In March this year, the University Grants Commission made the CUET mandatory for undergraduate admissions to all central universities. The exam, however, was held in July-August and the result was declared on 16 September. The admission calendar for central universities has been set behind by a few months. The application process for the second edition of the Common University Entrance Test -UG will begin on Thursday night and will remain open till March 12, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar said. The last date to submit fees for admission to undergraduate courses following the first round was October 25, 2022.

To respond to the queries, the candidate will have to log in to the DU CSAS portal using the CUET application number and password. The Delhi University admissions are open for 79 UG programmes across 67 colleges, departments, and centres. The list was supposed to be declared on 18 October but was pushed to 19 October after the Supreme Court said that it would hear the plea by St Stephen’s college regarding admissions. While the college wanted to assess candidates based on interviews in addition to CUET scores, the Delhi High Court ordered it to rely on CUET scores.

BCom at Ramjas College and Kirori Mal College are the most popular college-programme combinations among candidates. According to the data provided by the Delhi University in the first week of October, 37,566 candidates had listed BCom at Ramjas College as one of their choices and 37,531 candidates had chosen BCom at Kirori Mal College. The Delhi High Court on September 12 asked St Stephen’s College to follow the DU admission policy, as per which 100 per cent weightage has to be given to the CUET score while granting admission to non-minority students in its UG courses. However, the college wants to give only 85 per cent weightage to CUET and 15 per cent to interviews for admitting students across categories.
The university will offer admission to UG courses in around 70,000 seats on the basis of DU cut off 2022. Thousands of other students logged in on Wednesday to check whether they have been accepted to their desired colleges and courses.
